Are you bikini ready?! As of now, I am certainly not, but this is a goal I am working towards. Like many people do around this time of the year, Steph and I are trying to live a healthier lifestyle. The first thing we did was change our diet(team pescatarian woop woop). The next step is to become more physically active. Lucky for Steph, she's currently taken a class a school that requires her active. For me however, with job hunting consume me time, running up and down the stairs at home is about as active as I get.

But all isn't gone yet. I'm trying desperately to fall back into the routine I was in college. Wake up, go to the gym,  go to work and then go the class. It was much easier than seeing as how there was a gym in the student housing, and worked and went to school at the same place. And lets not forget the fact that the school was only a 15 minute walk. I was always on the move!! Now that I'm home things have slowed up quite a bit.lol. But thing that Upper Marlboro has that Arlington(where I went school) doesn't is lots of open space, perfect for running. The only problem is.......I HATE RUNNING. The treadmill was the one thing I avoided at the gym.lol. But seeing as this the only cardio available to me at this moment I'll have to just suck it up and do it. chringe So there it is my new work out plan an hour jog(I like that word better instead of run.lol), followed by abdominal work with my fitness. I know its lacking but its a start.

On the weekends Steph and I have been working on a new fitness venture(welll new for her). Pole Fitness!!!!! It's not the corny crap you see on the infomercials its the real deal. I know it sounds a little kinky but there are plenty of benefits to this. Great workout for the upper body and abdominal and even more a workout for the lower body if you wear heels. Classes focuses on flexibility as well. The place we attend(Pole Pressure) aslo offers other classes that don't involve a pole. It's super fun and slightly addictive.lol Pole Pressure has 3 location in DC and one in Leesburg, VA. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. If you  want to get a sneak peek of what the classes are like there is a FREE intro class offered every Saturday at noon.

Can you say amazing?!?!?
