The Tale of Girl with Blonde Ambition

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been trying to lighten my extremely dark brown. Although I don’t want to be blonde, a lighter color be a nice change. Throughout the year I’ve done several rinse, mostly red. So this past October I decided to put on my ‘big girl boots’ and use real hair dye. The results were great!!!

Bronze Copper; cute color, right?
Three months later I was dying to do something else to my hair. This past Saturday I buy more hair dye, this time Crème of Nature’s Bronze Copper. The color was bit lighter than I wanted but being that my hair is so dark, I figured it wouldn’t show up that bright. Being super cheap and lazy, I buy just one box for the front of my hair. When I finish putting the dye in my hair, I can barely see the dye. But I ignore the doubt and just figure it needs more time for the color to develop.

Thirty minutes, 2 washes, and deep condition later, there’s NO DIFFERENCE!!!! There was literally no change in my hair O.O Thinking my eyes are playing a trick on me, I run to another bathroom to find the same results. I’m still confused on to how this happened. Maybe this is a sign that I need to leave my hair color alone……..nah, that couldn’t it. One of my sisters told to go all the way and bleach my hair. I just cringed and said maybe I’ll try another brand of dye.lol. So until spring I’ll try to fight the urge to dye my hair and put my ambitions on hold.lol

Peace
Danielle
