Tinted Lip Balms

(L to R) Revlon, Loreal, Maybelline

Recently you may have noticed that many companies have been following this trend, the trend is the idea of mixing lip balm with a hint of color. I personally looooove this trend because typically the hint of color these products provide, looks more natural and leaves your lips feeling hydrated. I have recently purchased three companies versions of this concept and I'm going to list the pros and cons for each company. (Loreal, Maybelline, and Revlon)

#30- Peach Kiss $3
Let's start of with the very first one I purchased, Maybelline Peach Kiss. True to it's name, Peach Kiss is scented to smell like a peach smoothie. This shade is very natural and I could hardly notice a difference between my lips and this shade. But they have other shades that do change the hue of your lips. My only problem with this product is that it doesn't last very long and I found myself frequently reapplying (even with applying lipgloss on top). But this is the cheapest of the two brands I've purchased and for that reason I would recommend this product.

#218 Rose Elixer $9

Next we will move on to Loreal Rose Elixer, this is the most recent one I've purchased. This balm smells like candy which I love! The way I'd like to describe the color pay off is just by simply saying that it just enhances your lips. I did see a pink tint and I liked it, but it also looked extremely natural. My lips did feel hydrated and it wasn't necessary to apply a gloss. I love the fact that this packaging looks more adult and lipstick like. And if you're willing to pay about $9 for this product, then go for it!

#095 Creme Brulle $9

But through it all, I think Revlon may have murdered the competiton. Their tinted lip balm also performs the most like lipstick. I truly believe that Creme Brulle maybe the best nude shade ever! Although this product doesn't have much of a scent, your lips feel extremely hydrated! Out of all the versions of this product this is my favorite. Traditional lipsticks are too harsh for me in color when it comes bright oranges and reds, but this product I also purchased it in the Tuti Fruiti (orange shade), and  loved it! This product lasts a long time as well, I only reapply once throughout the day! This product also costs about $9, and I'd rather purchase this product than the Loreal.

I hope you enjoyed this review!!
With love,
