Blonde Ambitions: Same Ish, Different Dye

Spicy Auburn Brown
I broke down and did I again, I dyed my hair. I kept telling myself  that I wasn’t dye unitl mid-summer. I go to the BX with Steph so she can get hair dye, and somehow I end up walking out with dye (I blame Steph.lol) This time around I went with L’Oreal Paris Sublime Mousse  The color was  Spicy Auburn Brown. Steph went with a lighter color Golden Medium Brown. I’m thinking  with color my hair will be  close the color of Julia from Smash (I freakin’ love this show!!!). Both of us are excited and ready for a change.

So Steph and I have our hair dye extravaganza, I dyed her hair and she dyed mine. We wait, we rinse, we condition and what do we get?!? NOTHING!!!!! No change for either of us. Talk about double disappointment. My hair still has its dark redish tint that its had since late October. : / But the good thing about this experience is we got a chance to try out Mix Chicks Deep Conditioner (review post coming soon).
Debra Messing as Julia in Smash
I don’t know what it is about my hair, I’m starting to think that it’s dye repellant.lol. There’s is a small part of me hoping that maybe if I straighten my hair the color will be more apparent. Needless to say I’m giving myself one more time to play “Lil Miss Colorist” before I call it quits and see a professional. I'll definitely do a little research before I pick up any old dye.  Tell us about some of your at home hi and misses when it comes to dye!

Peace,
Danielle
